Financial Specialist
The Asotin County Conservation District is accepting applications for a Financial Specialist. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Cash Basis accounting, and supporting the overall financial function of the District.

This position’s compensation will start at $20.00 to $25.00 per hour DOQ/DOE.
(Wage Range 3, attachment) The starting benefits for this position include 8 hours of paid sick leave per month, 8 hours of paid vacation leave per month, 11 paid holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday, medical/vision/dental insurance (100% paid for employee and 90% paid for dependents up to $2,500/month), and optional DCP retirement (employer match available after introductory period) and optional AFLAC plan participation.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Regular work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Additional evening and weekend work is required occasionally and may require overnight travel. This is an in-person position stationed in Clarkston, WA. No remote work option.

Background:
The Asotin County Conservation District is a non-regulatory special purpose district in the state of Washington. We are dedicated to connecting Asotin County landowners, land managers, and residents with the resources needed to enhance and protect our nature resources while preserving the integrity of our working lands.
Our long-term Financial Specialist is looking forward to retirement in 2027, so we are seeking a new team member to step into this role. With the extended notice provided, it will allow opportunity for cross-training. The focus during the employment overlap period will be to train on the day-to-day job tasks and use of Springbrook accounting software. The new financial specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining written standard operating procedures (SOP), so work is consistent and easy to follow.
